Shopee fees in 2026: commission by price range, fixed fee, and what changes for CPF
Since October 1, 2026, Shopee has charged 20% commission plus R$ 4,50 per item on products up to R$ 79,99, and 14% plus a fixed fee of R$ 16, R$ 20, or R$ 26 above that, depending on the price range. The transaction fee is already included in the commission, and free shipping is not charged separately. On a product priced at R$ 59,90, Shopee keeps R$ 16,48, or 27,5% of the price. On one priced at R$ 80, it keeps R$ 27,20, so you receive less than you would by selling it for R$ 79,99.
Shopee's fee table is simpler than Mercado Livre's: it doesn't depend on the category or weight. But that simplicity hides three price thresholds where raising your price means earning less, plus a fixed fee that eats into low-priced products. I'll show you the full table and the math for eight prices.
#What is Shopee's fee table in 2026?
Since March 2026, commission has been based on price ranges, with no cap, and is the same across all categories. In October, the fixed fee for the first range increased from R$ 4,00 to R$ 4,50.
| Item price | Commission | Fixed fee per item |
|---|---|---|
| up to R$ 79.99 | 20% | R$ 4.50 (below R$ 9, half the price) |
| R$ 80,00 to R$ 99,99 | 14% | R$ 16,00 |
| R$ 100,00 to R$ 199,99 | 14% | R$ 20.00 |
| R$ 200.00 or more | 14% | R$ 26,00 |
Values from the commission policy for CNPJ and CPF sellers, updated by Shopee on September 18, 2026, and in effect since October 1, 2026.
Three adjustments change the math:
- Featured Campaign: Enrolled products pay 3,5 percentage points more in commission (up from 2,5 through April 2026).
- High-volume CPF seller: Individuals who sell more than 450 orders in 90 days pay an additional R$ 3 per item.
- Incorrect weight or dimensions on the listing: You pay the difference in shipping between the details you entered and the actual package.
#How much Shopee keeps in each price range
I calculated the fees alone, without a campaign, for eight common prices:
| Price | Commission | Fixed fee | Total fees | % of price | You receive |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| R$ 8,00 | R$ 1,60 | R$ 4,00 | R$ 5,60 | 70,0% | R$ 2,40 |
| R$ 15,00 | R$ 3,00 | R$ 4,50 | R$ 7,50 | 50,0% | R$ 7,50 |
| R$ 29,90 | R$ 5,98 | R$ 4,50 | R$ 10,48 | 35,1% | R$ 19,42 |
| R$ 59,90 | R$ 11,98 | R$ 4,50 | R$ 16,48 | 27,5% | R$ 43,42 |
| R$ 79.90 | R$ 15,98 | R$ 4,50 | R$ 20,48 | 25,6% | R$ 59,42 |
| R$ 80,00 | R$ 11,20 | R$ 16,00 | R$ 27,20 | 34,0% | R$ 52,80 |
| R$ 149.90 | R$ 20,99 | R$ 20.00 | R$ 40,99 | 27,3% | R$ 108,91 |
| R$ 299,00 | R$ 41,86 | R$ 26,00 | R$ 67,86 | 22,7% | R$ 231,14 |
Two important takeaways.
First: products under R$ 30 are expensive to sell on Shopee. The R$ 4,50 fixed fee is the same for an item priced at R$ 15 and one priced at R$ 79,90. On the R$ 15 item, the fee alone takes 30% of the price. If your cost is R$ 5, you're left with R$ 2,50 before tax and packaging. Low-priced products only make sense on Shopee when sold in bundles, with multiple units in the same listing.
The second one: the R$ 80 product pays you R$ 6,62 less than the R$ 79,90 product. At R$ 80, the commission drops from 20% to 14%, but the fixed fee jumps from R$ 4,50 to R$ 16. The same thing happens, to a lesser extent, at R$ 100 and R$ 200.
#The three price thresholds where raising your price means earning less
Each pricing tier creates a dead zone: a price range where you charge the customer more but take home less.
| Step | You receive just below | Dead zone | It starts paying off again at |
|---|---|---|---|
| R$ 80 | R$ 59,49 (to R$ 79,99) | R$ 80,00 to R$ 87,77 | R$ 87,78 |
| R$ 100 | R$ 69,99 (to R$ 99,99) | R$ 100,00 to R$ 104,63 | R$ 104,64 |
| R$ 200 | R$ 151,99 (to R$ 199,99) | R$ 200,00 to R$ 206,96 | R$ 206,97 |
If you have a listing in a dead zone, there are two ways to make more money right away: drop the price just below the threshold (you receive more and your listing looks cheaper) or raise it well past the break-even point. I explain the decision in Shopee’s three price thresholds.
#How much does it cost to join the Featured Campaign?
Those extra 3.5 percentage points may not seem like much, but they come straight out of your margin. On a R$ 59,90 product, the commission goes from 20% to 23.5%, bringing total fees from R$ 16,48 to R$ 18,58. If that product earned you R$ 10 in profit, it now earns R$ 7,90. The campaign needs to increase sales by at least 27% just to break even on profit in reais.
And the campaign almost always comes with a price discount. A discount and higher commission at the same time are a recipe for unnoticed losses: orders come in, revenue goes up, and your margin disappears along the way.
In practice. A home and bath seller showed me the results of a 15-day campaign: sales were up 60%, and revenue hit a record. She had lowered prices by 10% to join the campaign. When I recalculated with the 23.5% commission and the discount, profit per unit had been cut in half for four of the six products in the campaign. She sold 60% more but earned less than in the previous two weeks.
#Does Shopee charge sellers for shipping?
Not as a separate charge. Since March 2026, all sellers have been part of the Free Shipping Program, and Shopee covers buyers’ free shipping with coupons. So recording shipping as a separate expense on Shopee is usually a mistake: you count a cost you didn’t pay and think the product is losing money when it isn’t. I explain the impact in the article about Shopee payouts.
The exception is when a listing has a lower weight or smaller dimensions than the actual package. The shipping difference is deducted from the seller’s payout. Measure the package that leaves your stock and enter the correct details to avoid this surprise.
#Shopee or Mercado Livre: which has lower fees?
The comparison depends on two factors Shopee ignores but Mercado Livre doesn’t: weight and category. With a 12% commission on Mercado Livre’s Classic plan and a green reputation status:
| Product | Fees on Mercado Livre | Fees on Shopee | Lower cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| R$ 15, 200 g | R$ 7,45 | R$ 7,50 | tie |
| R$ 59,90, 400 g | R$ 15,44 | R$ 16,48 | Mercado Livre |
| R$ 89,90, 400 g | R$ 24,64 | R$ 28,59 | Mercado Livre |
| R$ 89,90, 9,5 kg | R$ 49,04 | R$ 28,59 | Shopee |
| R$ 149,90, 1,2 kg | R$ 37,44 | R$ 40,99 | Mercado Livre |
The pattern is clear: heavy products tend to cost less to sell on Shopee, because its fee doesn’t increase with weight. For lightweight products priced between R$ 80 and R$ 150, Mercado Livre usually costs less. At lower price points, they’re about the same. See the full breakdown of Mercado Livre fees in Mercado Livre fees in 2026.
Of course, fees aren’t the only factor when choosing a channel. Conversion, competitor prices, and advertising costs vary by marketplace. But starting with the fees helps you avoid the most common mistake: using the same price on both channels and assuming the margin is the same.
#How to calculate Shopee fees for a product
- Check which price tier your selling price falls into.
- Multiply the price by the commission for that tier (20% or 14%). If the product is in a Featured Campaign, add 3.5 percentage points.
- Add the fixed fee for that tier. Below R$ 9, the fixed fee is half the price.
- If you sell as an individual using a CPF and have had more than 450 orders in 90 days, add R$ 3.
What’s left is your payout before product costs, tax, and paid ads. To test prices, the Milewa profit calculator has a Shopee mode with the October 2026 fee schedule and shows when a price falls into a dead zone.
Doing the math by hand doesn’t scale across your whole store: there are hundreds of listings, campaigns starting and ending, and prices changing every week. Milewa reads orders from your Shopee store, separates each order’s commission and fixed fee, applies your costs and tax, and shows which listings are in a dead zone or selling at a loss—so you can set prices based on real order data.
#Frequently asked questions
How much does Shopee charge per sale in 2026?
As of October 1, 2026: up to R$ 79,99, a 20% commission plus R$ 4,50 per item; from R$ 80 to R$ 99,99, 14% plus R$ 16; from R$ 100 to R$ 199,99, 14% plus R$ 20; R$ 200 and up, 14% plus R$ 26. Below R$ 9, the fixed fee is half the price. The commission already includes the transaction fee and applies to CNPJ sellers and CPF sellers with up to 450 orders in 90 days.
Does Shopee charge sellers for shipping?
Generally, not as a separate charge. Since March 2026, all sellers have been part of the Free Shipping Program, and buyers’ free shipping is covered by Shopee coupons. An extra charge applies when a listing has a lower weight or smaller dimensions than the actual package: the shipping difference is deducted from the seller’s payout.
Do CPF sellers pay higher fees on Shopee?
Only after reaching a certain sales volume. Individual sellers using a CPF who exceed 450 orders in 90 days pay an extra R$ 3 per item, with a lower amount for items under R$ 12. Below that volume, the fee schedule is the same as for CNPJ sellers.
Is Shopee cheaper than Mercado Livre for selling?
It depends on the product’s weight and price. Shopee’s fee doesn’t change with weight, so heavy products usually cost much less to sell there. For lightweight products priced between R$ 80 and R$ 120, Mercado Livre is usually cheaper because Shopee’s fixed fee in that range is high. Below R$ 30, the fees are about the same.
