Mercado Livre shipping table 2026: complete shipping costs by weight and price range
Mercado Livre's 2026 shipping cost is based on a table that combines weight and price range: a package weighing up to 300 grams costs R$ 5,65 (product priced up to R$ 18,99) to R$ 21,65 (product priced at R$ 200 or more); a 5 kg package costs R$ 6,55 to R$ 32,45; a 20 kg package costs R$ 7,45 to R$ 91,95. These rates apply to FULL, Coleta, and Agências, even when the buyer pays for shipping. The billable weight is whichever is greater: actual or volumetric. The complete table, verified on the official page in September 2026, is below.
I keep this table open whenever I price a product because shipping is the cost that varies most from one listing to another. You can memorize the commission; shipping costs are another story.

Rules that go with the table:
- Under R$ 19, the buyer pays for shipping, and your cost per unit is capped at half the product price.
- From R$ 19 to R$ 78,99, shipping is free for the buyer, and the table amount already includes it.
- At R$ 79 and up, you offer fast free shipping, so the cost jumps.
- Yellow, orange, or red reputation levels have their own rates, with no discount.
- This rate table does not include: Full Super, books, special categories, pet food, used items, wholesale, or supermarket products.
#How to calculate the billable weight
Mercado Livre charges based on the greater of:
- the package's actual weight (product + packaging); and
- the volumetric weight: height × width × length, in centimeters, divided by 6,000.

The third row is a classic case of a lightweight product in a large box. At R$ 129, that package with an actual weight of 600 grams costs R$ 26,05 to ship in the 4 to 5 kg tier, instead of R$ 19,05 in the up-to-1-kg tier. That's seven reais per sale spent shipping air in the box.
#The four biggest shipping cost jumps
1. The R$ 79 threshold
It's the most well-known jump. For a 500 g to 1 kg package, the cost goes from R$ 8,45 (at R$ 78,99) to R$ 14,45 (at R$ 79). One cent more on the price adds R$ 6 to shipping. For many stores, the best product price is R$ 78,99, not R$ 79,90. I wrote about this in free shipping on Mercado Livre: who pays.
2. The 5 kg threshold
In the R$ 79 to R$ 99,99 price range, the cost goes from R$ 19,75 (4 to 5 kg) to R$ 25,95 (5 to 6 kg). If your product is close to 5 kg, lighter or more compact packaging can save you R$ 6 per sale.
3. The 10 kg threshold
In the same price range, the cost goes from R$ 30,25 (8 to 9 kg) to R$ 38,25 (9 to 10 kg). Mid-priced, heavy products take the biggest hit on Mercado Livre.
4. Price tiers above R$ 100
With each price tier, the cost goes up by R$ 2 to R$ 3 for lightweight packages, and much more for heavy ones. A 10 to 11 kg package costs R$ 41,65 at R$ 99 and R$ 69,35 at R$ 200. For heavy, expensive products, shipping can exceed 30% of the price.
#How much shipping affects the price
The same shipping cost has a very different impact depending on the price:

The last row shows why some products simply aren’t profitable to sell on Mercado Livre with platform shipping: shipping eats up almost half the price before commission, tax, and cost of goods sold. In practice. A seller of cleaning products sold 12 kg boxes for R$ 99,90. In his spreadsheet, shipping was “about R$ 20.” According to the table, it was R$ 42,55 per sale. After a 12% commission and 6% tax, R$ 39,37 was left to cover a product that cost R$ 52. He had been losing about R$ 13 on every box for months. Splitting each box into two 6 kg boxes priced at R$ 54,90 each brought shipping down to R$ 10,35 per package, in the R$ 49 to R$ 78,99 price range, and made the numbers work again.
#How to use the table to set prices
- Measure the actual box and calculate the billable weight.
- Find the weight row.
- Choose the price range you plan to sell in and find the cost.
- Calculate the price using that cost and check that it falls in the same range. If it falls in a different range, recalculate using the cost for the new range.

The buyer pays for shipping, but the seller still pays the per-unit cost listed in the table, capped at half the product price. For a R$ 10 item, the cost never exceeds R$ 5.
